Bankura Banga Vidyalay

Bankura Banga Vidyalay, established in 1825, stands as one of the oldest and most esteemed educational institutions in the Bankura region. Originally founded as the “Sitanath Chakraborty Pathshala”, known at that time as the Bangla School, it began its journey as a government-aided vernacular institution.

Situated in Machantola, Bankura, this co‑educational day school serves students from classes VI to XII, offering instruction in both Bengali and English mediums. 

Affiliated with the state education boards, the school holds the Board Index Number: J1‑016 (WBBSE), Institution Code (H.S): 114142 (WBCHSE), and houses a Vocational Training Centre with Code 5029.
